CANON CN-E 30-105MM T2.8

Designed to fulfill contemporary 4K production standards, this phenomenal lens surpasses the performance requirements of any HD imaging system. It features advanced optical design with fluorite and large aspherical lens elements to achieve sharp, consistent images throughout their zoom range. Canon engineers also incorporated geared inner focusing to minimize focus-induced changes in the angle of view, reducing focus breathing virtually to zero. The 11-blade aperture diaphragm ensures

smooth out-of-focus areas, while innovative glass construction counteracts barrel expansion and contraction to avoid temperature-induced marking discrepancies.

Cinema Lens Care and Maintenance

The Canon CN-E 14.5-60mm T2.6 L S Cinema Zoom Lens with EF Mount is designed expressly for digital cinematography with cameras that have an APS-C or Super 35-equivalent sensor and a EF mount, including Canon’s EOS C300. Featuring advanced optical technology designed by Canon, the lens is suitable for any capturing any size HD image up to and including 4K resolution.

With a focal length range of 14.5-60mm, the 4.1x cinema zoom lens is designed to cover the wider end of the focal lengths typically required by cinematic productions, and its wide-angle length of 14.5mm puts it among the best in its class. (The other zoom lens in the line, the CN-E 30-300mm T2.95-3.7 L S, covers the telephoto end.) Maximum aperture is a very fast T2.6 through the entire range, and the 11-blade iris enables a smooth bokeh for out-of-focus areas of the frame.

The lens was designed with working professionals in mind, with easy-to-read focus, zoom, and iris markings engraved into angled surfaces on both sides of the lens, so you can read the setting from either side of a camera – or from behind it. Depending on the production’s needs, focus markings can be switched from standard to metric. The lens facilitates manual operation that’s subtle, smooth, precise, and repeatable. Control rings are designed to provide and maintain the proper amount of resistance so you can operate with a consistent torque. The focus rotation angle is about 300°; for zoom, it’s approximately 160°.

The CN-E 14.5-60mm T2.6 L S lens complements the other lens in the line in more ways than just focal length range: Their shared 136mm front diameter, gear positions, and rotation angle make them almost “hot-swappable” when they’re used with a shared matte box or follow focus.

CANON CINE SERVO 17-120MM T2.95

The CINE-SERVO 17-120mm T2.95-3.9 lens provides cinematographers and broadcast operations with a compact, lightweight design (only 6.4 lbs.) using Canon optical elements, while offering outstanding performance and reliability in professional shooting environments.

The new lens is fully 4K-ready, with a high optical resolution and support for Super35mm large-format cameras. An 11-blade aperture diaphragm helps ensure an artistic and beautiful representation of out-of-focus areas (or “Bokeh”).

The lens also features a high 7x zoom magnification, wide focal length range of 17mm to 120mm, and a 180º smooth rotating focus ring. Acknowledging that broadcasters often need to control zoom, focus and iris/aperture in different ways than filmmakers, Canon has developed this zoom lens with full external servo control for drama, documentary and other broadcast productions.

The servo drive unit is compatible with industry-standard protocols for control from a number of lens controllers including Canon’s standard broadcast lens controllers (ZSD-300D/FPD-400D) and multiple industry standard cinema lens controllers. The drive unit can be easily removed for cinema-style shoots and can be easily re-attached without any manual re-alignment. A 16-bit metadata output enables connection to virtual studio systems.

FUJINON CABRIO 85-300MM T2.9

The Fujinon ZK85-300mm T2.9-4.0 Lightweight Cabrio Lens is a PL Mount lens that features a detachable servo drive unit. With the drive unit, this lens operates like a traditional ENG TV lens thanks to the same interface and accessories familiar to TV lens users. This is helpful in simplifying and reducing setup time since it is not necessary to use more complicated cine lens drive systems, and the drive seamlessly interfaces with wired and wireless cine control systems as well.

With the drive unit removed, this lens has a standard 0.8mm cine gearing, allowing for the use of traditional third-party cine accessories (sold separately). This lens features hybrid technology from both Fujifilm broadcast and cine lens technologies in a lightweight and compact body.

16-bit high-resolution encoders are employed
LDS and /i Technology lens data capable through electric contacts in the mount
Back focus adjustment with macro function
Natural bokeh (blur) thanks to a newly developed round 9-blade iris

FUJINON CABRIO 19-90MM T2.9

The Fujinon ZK19-90mm T2.9 Cabrio Lens is a wide to telephoto zoom lens for Super 35mm cameras, and it features a PL mount. The focus, zoom, and iris barrels are geared with standard 0.8 film pitch, which provides an interface for the removable ENG-style digital drive unit. The rear PL mount features electrical contacts for sharing ARRI LDS and Cooke /i Technology lens data with the camera.

The detachable drive unit is an ENG-style hand grip with a zoom rocker switch, 16-bit encoding, and an interface for remote control via a wired or wireless controller from Fujinon or other compatible third-party manufacturers. When the drive unit is attached to the lens, a digital auto-aligning system quickly and accurately calibrates it to the zoom, focus, and iris gears. Power is provided by either an external connector or the PL mount’s “hot shoe” interface. Included with the lens is a 111mm clear protection filter that helps to protect the front of the lens.

T2.9 to T22 aperture with 9 iris blades for attractive bokeh
The 31.5mm diameter image circle covers up to Super 35mm sensors
Detachable, ENG-style, digital drive unit with zoom rocker switch
Industry standard 0.8 film pitch gears for focus, zoom, and iris control
Power and data/control connections to the camera via the rear PL mount “hot shoe”
16-bit encoding supports sharing LDS and /i Technology lens data with the camera
The barrel markings in metric or imperial measurements are switchable in the field
Glow-in-the-dark barrel markings make it easier to read measurements

FUJINON CABRIO 14-35MM T2.9

Designed using the latest proprietary optical simulation software, the PL 14-35 mm wide angle lens offers exceptional optical performance in the center of the image and in the corners of the frame. The digital servo’s 16-bit encoding assures operators that all lens data output including the position of the zoom, iris, and focus- is extremely accurate. The PL 14-35mm lens supports Lens Data System (LDS) and /i metadata formats, and can be controlled using cinema industry standard wireless controllers as well as existing FUJINON wired and wireless units.

The PL 14-35mm Cabrio lens has a detachable digital servo drive.

The Cabrio can be used as a self-contained ENG-style lens or cine style lens. Cinematographers will also be right at home with this lens. With the detachable drive removed, the lens is set to accept industry standard cine motors and matte boxes. The 14-35mm lens is lightweight and comfortable to use with today’s smaller 4K cameras. For shooters looking for a lightweight zoom that can be

used as a handheld, capturing wide angles in tight spaces, it’s ideal.

The PL 14-35 covers 31.5mm sensor size on a digital cinema style camera. While sensors on standard broadcast cameras are all the same size, sensors on digital cine cameras vary greatly. This new zoom ensures the image captured will cover large sensors for optimal, full-frame resolution. A nine- blade iris part of the design as well, creating the most natural-looking imagery possible.
