Ultra Con
The Ultra Contrast Filter can be applied to purposely reduce contrast while photographing an image or while recording video. By distributing ambient illumination to darker areas within a scene, this filter is useful in helping to uniformly balance the tonal range among highlights and shadows. Detail is increased within shadow regions while flare and halation around highlights is purposely limited.

The 81 EF Light Balancing Filter helps to decrease the color temperature by 650K in order to warm the image slightly in order to match the color quality of illumination. When using an 81EF filter, you will be able to attain 3200K balance when the prevailing light source is 3850K. The warming effect of this filter requires a 0.6-stop increase in exposure for normal results.

The 80 C filters is used to balance daylight film under artificial, tungsten or standard (household) incandescent lighting. This filter allows you to somewhat “balance” i.e. bring back, correct color tone to your images. There is some loss of film speed that may require the use of a tripod but, at least, your photos will demonstrate the proper tonality they so richly deserve.

#85 ND
The 85 ND blends both an amber color conversion 85 and neutral density filter. The ND filtration provides a 3 stop exposure reduction for darkening the entire image in order to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. The 85 filtration covers the entire filter plane and converts the color temperature to 3400K for use with type A (tungsten) film

Enhancing Filter
The Tiffen Enhancing Filter is a combination of rare earth elements in glass. It removes a portion of the spectrum in the orange region, increasing the color saturation of reddish objects by eliminating the muddy tones and maximizing the red hues with minimal effect on other colors.

Neutral Density Filters
These filters reduce the amount of light passing through the camera lens without changing the color of the scene. They are especially useful in bright light conditions to help prevent overexposure. Neutral Density filters also allow proper exposure at a wider lens opening for reduced depth-of-field to highlight a key subject by making the foreground and/or background out of focus. ND’s are must have filters especially if you are thinking of doing more landscape and nature photography.

Infrared Neutral Density Filters
An IRND is ideal for HD cameras, which have greater low-light sensitivity and, subsequently, an increased susceptibility to IR contamination. When using a standard neutral density filter to counter the increased light sensitivity afforded by the HD sensor, the effects of infrared pollution become more apparent. This filter combines an ND filter with a comparable IR control filter to eliminate the spill of infrared light reaching the sensor while still maintaining the extra exposure benefits of a neutral density filter.
