Heden M21VE-L Lens Motor Kit

The HEDEN M21VE-L 256 Lens Motor with Dual-Pin Hub is a powerful lens motor with a compact form factor suitable for gimbal and drone applications employing professional film and video broadcasting cameras. Compatible with HEDEN YMER, HEDEN CARAT, Preston, and FREEFLY MōVI lens control systems, the M21VE-L 256 features a 7-pin 0B LEMO port that uses smaller, lightweight cables to connect to the controller and comes with a dual-pin hub, together with snap-on gear with dual-pin lock mechanism for added reliability.

The M21VE-L 256 mounts vertically on an optional 19mm rod without the need for tools, and you can also mount it on an optional 15mm rod using the included 15mm insert. The unit also comes with a 0.8 MOD gear that can be mounted on either side with optional 0.4, 0.5, and 0.6 modules available separately, and it has a 1.0 Nm torque

PRESTON DIGITAL MICROFORCE ZOOM CONTROL

The Digital Micro Force drives the DM-1X and DM-2 digital motors. It automatically calibrates the motors to the mechanical span of the lens, preventing accidental damage to either the lens or motor. A bright LED bar graph displays the zoom position. Electronic limit stops can be set with the touch of a button. The soft stop feature allows the user to automatically slow the zoom a programmed distance from its end of travel. This is especially useful when doing a fast “snap” zoom, or when the user must both operate the camera and control the zoom at the same time.

Available Units: DMF 2 & DMF 3

PRESTON FIZ-3 3 CHANNEL LENS CONTROL

The Hand Unit 3 (HU3) is the industry standard focus control. Its advanced technology empowers the focus puller with a completely new set of tools to get tougher shots in fewer takes. Lens mapping eliminates the need to mark rings for each lens, greatly reducing prep time and standardizing all focus throws to five pre-printed rings, organized by close focus distance.

SPECS:

  • Channels: Focus, Iris, Zoom (with Micro Force attached), AUX (with MDR-3)
  • Dimensions: 7.2in x 7.6in x 3.3in
  • Display: OLED
  • Frequency Band: 2.4 GHz
  • Input Voltage: 7-9VDC (battery), 10-30VDC (command cable)
  • Maximum Current Draw: 0.2A (at 8V)
  • Operating Temperature: 0*F – 122*F
  • Weight: 40.2oz (1.14kg)
  • Wireless Channels: 60

PRESTON FOCUS – IRIS CONTROLLER

The Focus/Iris (aka Single Channel) wireless hand control provides the reliability and robustness you expect from Preston in a compact, lightweight package. It can be used with the rest of the FI+Z system to take over the Iris or Focus function from the HU4, selectable with a toggle switch on the front panel of the unit.

The F/I features a bright LED bar graph display of lens position. End limits can be set with the touch of a button and are shown as illuminated bars. A tri-color LED is used to indicate wireless signal strength, along with red LED indicators for wireless channel, battery voltage status, and camera run/stop.

A soft urethane grip makes for comfortable all-day operation. Marking discs slide over the knob onto an index pin, so the user can know the current lens position without being near the camera. Power is provided by a standard FM-50 Li-Ion battery, allowing for approximately 8 hours of operation.
