#80 B

Enabling the use of daylight-balanced film under tungsten-lit conditions, the 80 B Color Conversion Filter is a cooling filter used to increase the color temperature from 3400K to 5500K. The blue color of the filter has a filter factor of 3x, requiring an additional 1.6 stops of exposure to achieve normal results.

Sizes Available: 4×5.65/ 4×4/ 4 1/2/ Series 9/ 138mm

#80 C

The 80 C filters is used to balance daylight film under artificial, tungsten or standard (household) incandescent lighting. This filter allows you to somewhat “balance” i.e. bring back, correct color tone to your images. There is some loss of film speed that may require the use of a tripod but, at least, your photos will demonstrate the proper tonality they so richly deserve.

Sizes Available: 4×5.65

#80 D

Enabling the use of daylight-balanced film under tungsten-lit conditions, it is a cooling filter used to increase the color temperature from 4200K to 5500K. The blue color of the filter has a filter factor of 1.3x, requiring an additional 0.3 stop of exposure to achieve normal results.

Sizes Available: 4×5.65

#81 EF

The  81 EF Light Balancing Filter helps to decrease the color temperature by 650K in order to warm the image slightly in order to match the color quality of illumination. When using an 81EF filter, you will be able to attain 3200K balance when the prevailing light source is 3850K. The warming effect of this filter requires a 0.6-stop increase in exposure for normal results.

Sizes Available: 4×5.65/ 4×4/ 4 1/2″/ Series 9/ 138mm

#812

Ideal for portraiture, the 812 Filter from Tiffen is used to improve skin tones when working in cool lighting conditions. This filter offers a greater warming effect than a skylight 1-A filter and is well-suited for use outdoors on overcast days or on sunny days when working in open shade. It can also be used to absorb the strong blue cast of an electronic flash for more balanced, lifelike skin tones.

Sizes available: 4×5.65

#85

The 85 Filter helps to decrease the color temperature from 5500 to 3400K, allowing the use of tungsten-balanced film in daylight conditions. The warming effect of this filter requires a 0.6-stop increase in exposure for normal results.

Sizes Available: 4×4/ 138mm/ Series 9

#85 ND

The 85 ND blends both an amber color conversion 85 and neutral density filter. The ND filtration provides a 3 stop exposure reduction for darkening the entire image in order to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. The 85 filtration covers the entire filter plane and converts the color temperature to 3400K for use with type A (tungsten) film

Strengths: 0.3/ 0.6/ 0.9

Ambient Recording ACL 203 Tri-Level Sync Lockit

ACL 203 Tri-Level Sync Lockit Set from Ambient Recording is a time code device designed for use with HDV cameras. It supports a variety of HD video formats, as well as sample-rate-based synching for audio recorders in world clock and black audio up to 192KHz. The unit features (3) rotary encoders that control function blocks, sync format, sync frequency, and time-code frame rate. These controls allow for simple dialing even with exotic variants of pull-up/pull-down or cross jam modes.

Ambient Recording ACL 204 – Lockit Sync Box

The ACL204 from Ambient Recording is a portable synchronizer and the first in a new generation of Clockit products which fully utilizes the Ambient Clockit Network System (ACN). The company hopes that ACN becomes an industry standard, a system that is as open as possible, and which simultaneously merges real-time and file embedded metadata from various camera manufacturers along with a global time code reference.
